Triple Combination Therapy Use as a Function of Patient Need and
Vulnerability Categories
This Knowledge Item examines the use
of triple combination therapies for patient groups defined by major
service need and vulnerability factors. With the exception of heroin
use, triple combination therapies appear to have been made available to
patients with, or without, need and vulnerability defining
characteristics. Current heroin users received triple combination
therapies significantly less frequently than did individuals who were
either non users of heroin or prior users. Overall, the therapies appear
to have been made available to most individuals, although they were made
available to active heroin users somewhat less frequently.
