Metro DC Collaborative for Women with HIV/AIDS
This presentation by the Center for Women Policy Studies (the lead agency for the Collaborative) shows the efforts being made in the District of Columbia to develop appropriate services for women with HIV. The Metro DC Collaborative–which also includes PROTOTYPES and The Measurement Group–has assessed local barriers to services for women with HIV and is engaging in processes of policy development, capacity building, and information dissemination to improve the overall service for women with HIV in the District of Columbia. Infrastructure Assessment of Services for Women with HIV in the Metro DC Area
This presentation examines barriers to service encountered by women with HIV in the Metro DC area. In addition, the results of a needs assessment conducted with local HIV service programs are presented. The needs assessment was implemented by PROTOTYPES as part of its participation in the Metro DC collaborative - which is led by the Center for Women Policy Studies and also includes The Measurement Group.
