Preface

This report is the combined effort of 10 national adolescent demonstration program models funded by the Special Projects of National Significance (SPNS) Program of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). The report is part of a series of volumes issuing from the cross-cutting national evaluation conducted by the 10 SPNS grantees and the evaluation contractor, The Measurement Group of Culver City, California.

The cross-cutting evaluation involved a cooperative methodology among the sites wherein consensus-building methods were used to develop joint data indicators and data collection methods. These methods included face-to-face meetings, conference calls, and repeated sessions of feedback on the instruments developed through draft forms.

As would be expected from a complicated multi-site study, a number of individuals at the 10 project sites and at the evaluation contractor made significant professional contributions.
